This will be the first of a larger photograhic series in which I explore the connection between nature and geometry. I have always been drawn in by micro-environments, inspired by their intricate patterns and interlocking systems. Visual representations of math or engineering plans often echo the structures I see in nature, so I have embarked on combining these two worlds using all the tools I love: exploring forests, macro photography, scavenging for old illustrations, scanning tiny icons at high resolutions, Photoshop retouch, Lightroom filters and finally putting everything together, creating exciting overlays in InDesign. Magic!
